Travel from the coastal city of Lima across to the soaring Andean mountains to Cusco and Machupicchu, capital of the Inca Empire and onto the vast altiplano – Puno with its unique island tribes on Lake Titicaca and the funeral towers of Sillustani. Besides the deepest Colca Canyon and the rainforest Puerto Maldonado. Destinations known for their unique natural beauty, history, and cultural traditions.

This journey begin in Lima, the capital of Peru. Enjoy our personalized touring to your interests, such as an insider tour of the impressive historic district (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), a visit to a spectacular pre-Colombian art collection and exploring the city’s food markets.

Next, fly to Cusco, and transfer to the lower elevation, stay at the city’s most historic and distinguished hotel. Your guide will lead you through the narrow streets as you learn about the fascinating Incan and Spanish history in the city. Also opt to see important archaeological sites just outside of the city. In the evenings, enjoy dining reservations at Cusco’s top restaurants. The Sacred Valley of the Incas (Urubamba Valley) for a one night stay. Your guide will ensure you experience the best of the local culture during visits to indigenous markets and villages, gentle walks or hikes to important Inca and pre-Inca sites, and meetings with local weavers. Spend the following day travelling by train to Aguas Calientes. Continue to Machupicchu and spend near the ruins. Your tour guide will teach you about the fascinating history of the site and ensure that you have the opportunity to explore the grounds. Additional activities can also be arranged, upon request, such as a meeting with a local expert.

Continue, fly to Arequipa, one of Peru’s most picturesque cities. Enjoy a private walking tour and visit the Santa Catalina Convent called” a city within a city”, and other important religious and historic sites. The following day travel along the Andes to Chivay village located in the Colca Valley, with stops en route at Pampa Cañahuas National Reserve of Vicuñas, Patahuasi Restaurant, Aguada Blanca & Torja, and Patapampa View Point of Volcanoes (4910m). Spend the following day in the Colca Valley exploring the Andean villages, pre-Inca burial grounds in this remote land and admire the impressive irrigation system, the fertile mountains terraced for farming of the Colca valley and the flying condors. Other outdoor activity option include relax in the hot springs on the grounds. Additional activities can also be arranged, upon request, such as a meeting with a local expert.

Next, land journey over the Andes to Puno (Lake Titicaca), and transfer to your hotel. One day, take a boat excursion to the fascinating “floating islands,” which are made from bundles of reeds and inhabited by the indigenous Uros people (Lake Tribe). Also visit Taquile Island, and meet local weavers who produce colorful textiles. During private/shared touring, visit local communities, and learn about their local customs and distinctive traditional dress. In the evenings, enjoy dining reservations at Puno’s top restaurants. The following day visit the funeral towers of Sillustani, which is surrounded by Umayo Lake, here you can have the opportunity to make the llama trek (1hrs), besides enjoy the spectacular scenery of the Peruvian Andes and its people. Lunch in one of the farm houses overlooking the country side. Additional activities can also be arranged, upon request, such as a meeting with a local expert.

Continue, overland journey through the Peruvian high plateau (Altiplano) to Bolivia, crossing the border visit en route to La Paz-Bolivia the ruins of Tiahuanaco archaeological complex (sun gate and temples), one of the oldest civilization in the Americas. Half day guided tour of La Paz city, where your local guide will take you to the Indian Market, Andean Healers Market (or Witch’s Market), the indigenous, colonial and modern areas surrounded by the Illimani Snowy Peak, then Moon valley a clay formation resembling the face of the Moon. In the evenings, enjoy dining reservations at La Paz top restaurants. The next day fly to Uyuni village where you will enjoy the miles and miles of dazzling pentagons of crystalline salt considered one of the largest salt flats of the Earth which is Uyuni (12,000 km2), also visit Fish Island (Isla Pescado) from where enjoy this isolated ecosystem. Besides the train cemetery outside of Uyuni village. Additional activities can also be arranged, upon request, such as a meeting with a local art expert or an evening cultural performance.

On your final day, fly back to Lima for an overnight stay then connect with your onward flight to Home.
